Darling Downs Tarpaulins has a long history in training specialist tradespeople. DDT staff are sought after all over Australia by the canvas goods industry.
As a trainee in Textile Fabrication, you will learn the correct way to make tents, swags, ute canopies, shade sails, truck tarps and hundreds of other products. You will learn how to use industrial sewing machines, hot air welders, high-frequency welders and many other state-of-the-art machines.
As an apprentice in Textile Fabrication you will be committing to a nominal 3 years of training. All training is completed on the job. On completion you will have graduated with a Certificate III in Textile Fabrication with the formal training being completed by distance eduction with TAFE NSW.

We help business and people from the Agricultural, Mining, Building, in fact, most industries. Darling Downs Tarpaulins produce finished products made from quality canvas and synthetic materials.
Requirements:
- Trade Qualified.
- Be capable of following comprehensive written, spoken and/or diagrammatic instructions.
- Be experienced working on a wide variety of jobs.
- Be able to meet production deadlines.
- Have good time management skills.
- Must have an eye for detail.
- Current manual driver’s license.
